The Sakura Maru Cocktail Journey at AMARU

 

Amaru has launched its latest cocktail menu, The Sakura Maru Journey  a thoughtfully curated collection of 13 cocktails inspired by the historic 1899 voyage of the Sakura Maru, one of the earliest Japanese ships to arrive in Peru.

Each cocktail represents a moment from this cross-continental migration — a narrative told through flavor, memory, and craft. From the bright and bold Toki Tori (green apple and jalapeño-infused tequila) to the deeply savory Peruano (parmesan-washed mezcal with coconut and pineapple), the menu is a celebration of cultural fusion and transformation.

– Albahaca: Herbaceous and smoky, echoing tropical waters

– Geisha Style: A vivid farewell with sake, soju, and blood orange

– Nikkei Noir: A collision of cultures in whiskey, yuzu, and wine

– Kagami Crystal: Clarified gin, passionfruit, and guava

– Imperial Old Fashioned: A rich blend of whiskey and coffee bitters
