Moitrayee Bhaduri is a versatile author, screenwriter, and content specialist known for her gripping crime thrillers. She made her debut with “The Sinister Silence” in 2015, introducing the dynamic private detective Mili Ray. Her subsequent works, including “Who Killed the Murderer?” and the mini-thriller series on Inspector K.P. Singh, have further cemented her reputation in the genre.
Balancing a career in IT with her passion for writing, Moitrayee has also penned scripts for TV crime shows and conducted writing workshops. Her latest novel, “Trinoyoni,” explores Colonial Calcutta’s dark alleys, tracing India’s first known serial killer. A dog lover and coffee enthusiast, she enjoys reading, singing, and solving crosswords in her spare time.

What is your
favourite food memory from childhood?
As a kid, my earliest food memory is feasting on a
delectable variety of ice-creams on a cold winter evening at Nirula’s, Delhi.
What’s your favourite
comfort food?
Steamed ghee-rice with boiled eggs, boiled
potatoes, and green chillies.

It was some kind of a weird non-alcoholic drink
that made me sick. Thank God, I don’t remember the details.

I can eat bread-butter and/or dal-rice happily for
the rest of my life.

most over-rated food cuisine?
Sushi.

Keto
diets – Somehow I never felt the need to try it. My friends have praised it a
lot.

fasting – Fasting of any form is excellent for health. Our body surely needs some
rest.
